I&#8217;ve been so busy that I couldn&#8217;t take the time to sit down and write a blog post.<br \/>\nBut please be welcome on my solo show an Open Studio in a really unique location<\/p>\n<p><strong>Solo show in the \u201cwinding house\u201d (Dubbel Ophaalgebouw)<\/strong><br \/>\nAt the occasion of the memorial of the 30 years closure of the<br \/>\ncoal mine of Beringen, you will be able to see An&#8217;s paintings in<br \/>\nthe unique environment of the \u201cdouble winding house\u201d at<br \/>\nbe-MINE. This part of historical patrimony, now open for visitors,<br \/>\nis located between the two shaft towers of Beringen\u2019s<br \/>\ncoal mine site<\/p>\n<p><strong>Open studio<\/strong><br \/>\nDuring the show An V. is housing her studio in this building.<br \/>\nShe is working on new paintings, inspired by its environment.<br \/>\nA unique opportunity to have a look behind artist\u2019s studio<br \/>\nwalls. And to see how the coal left on the conveyor belts of the<br \/>\ncoal mine is getting a new destiny. A destiny with the same<br \/>\nbrightness as the light reflected by the coal.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The exposition is open<br \/>\nOctober 6 to 27, 2019<br \/>\non wed, sat &#038; sun 2 &#8211; 5 p.m. and by appointment<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Artist talk: Thursday, October 17 from 7 to 9 p.m.<br \/>\nOnly by reservation.
